In July 2020, I took a look at my gigantic pile of CDs I bought on a whim over the years and never listened to and elected to do two things with each one.

1. The CD would get two listens with my attention as undivided as possible.
2. I would then write a few paragraphs on my old Scratchpad personal blog about how I felt about the album and if I was keeping it.

I covered 30 albums in total from various 90s and 2000s weird rock bands. The goal was not to live inside each album, but simply to give them enough of a chance to decide if it was worth listening further. Some surprised me, some disappointed me. I dubbed this undertaking the Rediscovering.

This collects all of my entries from the project, appendixed with how I feel reading back and trying the records again—if I appreciate the music more now, if my opinion's changed, if I just hate how I wrote it, that sorta deal. Impulsive writing in a troubled time led to a lot of interesting opinions I may or may not still share, so check those for the final word.
